CONNEAUT OH- There is a newfound excitement for Ashtabula County schools these athletic seasons. With basketball upcoming, the local battles that occurred on the gridiron will now be taken to the hardwood! For The Conneaut Spartans boys basketball team, they will look to compete with a very young team. Following a 5-18 season and losing 6 seniors a season ago, The Spartans are looking to build off last year’s campaign and start trending in the right direction.

With a new head coach at the helm, The Spartans are looking to write a new chapter with Coach Rich Marshall as Conneaut’s new skipper! In this edition of Coaches Corner, YSNs Ty Bartell talks with Coach Marshall about his gameplan with The Spartans, what his brand of basketball will look like for Conneaut, the return of a lot of local matchups and a lot more!
