FALCONS KEEP UP THEIR MOMENTUM
STRUTHERS OH- Astro Falcons’ 18U squad kept their momentum going on Friday, taking down Athletix 10-2 in Class B action at Bob Cene Park.
Andres Hurkmans led the charge for the Falcons, going 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs, while AJ Verdi chipped in with a 1-for-4 performance, driving in 2 runs and scoring twice. Rowan Urbach had a perfect night at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an RBI, a walk, and 2 runs. Creed Erdos contributed with a hit, an RBI, and a walk, while Liam McElory and Grason Hooks each added a hit, with McElory scoring a run and Hooks drawing a walk.
On the mound, Tyler Vogel was dominant, pitching 5 innings, giving up just 2 runs on 4 hits, and striking out 10.
For Athletix, Logan Cypher went 1-for-3 with an RBI, Alex Solema had a strong night, going 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Evan Tice added a hit, going 1-for-3.
