FITCH COMES UP SHORT AGAINST GREEN

AUSTINTOWN, OH- Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound on Friday, but Green was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Austintown-Fitch on Friday. Jack Knight started the game for Fitch and recorded 16 outs in a 3-1 loss.

Ickes was the winning pitcher for Green. The fireballer surrendered one run on three hits over six innings, striking out four. Rollyson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Rollyson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Green.

Knight took the hard-luck loss for the Falcons. Knight allowed six hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Drew Kaschak led Austintown-Fitch Varsity Falcons with two hits in three at-bats.

Rollyson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Green in hits.
