FLASHES NARROWLY ESCAPE LABRAE

Champion got out to a five-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over LaBrae on Thursday. LaBrae managed four runs in the failed comeback. Aryana Hartman, Desi Allen, and Jessie Morris each picked up RBIs.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Champion collected ten hits and LaBrae had ten.

The Golden Flashes got things moving in the first inning. Tayler Fuller’s sac fly scored one run.

Cassidy Shaffer was the winning pitcher for Champion. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits, striking out three and walking one.

Grace Barnhart took the loss for LaBrae. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while walking zero.

The Golden Flashes tallied ten hits. Emma Gumont, Shaffer, Lauren Fife, and Olivia Zigarovich each had multiple hits. Zigarovich, Fife, Shaffer, and Gumont each managed two hits to lead.

LaBrae saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Hartman and Allen all managed multiple hits. Hartman led with three hits in four at bats.
