FLASHES NARROWLY ESCAPE LABRAE

Champion got out to a five-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over LaBrae on Thursday. LaBrae managed four runs in the failed comeback. Aryana Hartman, Desi Allen, and Jessie Morris each picked up RBIs.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Champion collected ten hits and LaBrae had ten.

The Golden Flashes got things moving in the first inning. Tayler Fuller’s sac fly scored one run.

Cassidy Shaffer was the winning pitcher for Champion. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits, striking out three and walking one.
