KNIGHTS OWN THE NIGHT, BEAT THE BEARS

LEETONIA, OH- The Bears coming in tonight‘s game (3-2) looking to bounce back from a loss to Columbiana 34-13. For Toronto, they came in at (4-1) after beating a close overtime win against Crestwood 12-6.

As Leetonia kicked it off, Toronto’s Brendan Matyas took it to the house to put the Red Knights up in front early. Toronto would not let their foot off the peddle as they forced a turnover on downs at Leetonia’s 10-yard line, which Quarterback Caleb Leasure would throw one of his four touchdowns to Zach Stackhouse. Leetonia would answer right before the half with their only touchdown on the night as Fullback Brett Davis pounded it in for a 1-yard touchdown to bring the score to 7-18 at the half. Leetonia would go scoreless the rest of the game as Toronto would finish with 38 for the night in the 38-7 victory.

Marco Ferry led all rushers with 22 carries for 103 yards, Davis with 4 carries for 16 yards and a touchdown. Passing, Dylan Lennon went 4/12 for 70 yards and 2 Interceptions.

Leetonia loses three straight to fall to 3-3 and Toronto extends their season record to 5-1.
