LADY RAIDERS THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX TO WIN FINAL GAME IN MYRTLE

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- South Range took home a 9-5 victory over Vestal on Friday.

The Lady Raiders captured the lead in the second inning. An error scored two runs for South Range.

South Range the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Madison Dado’s sac fly scored one run for the Lady Raiders, and Jamie Feren singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

The Burgundy and Gold tallied five runs in the second inning. The offense in the inning was led by Reagan Irons, Hannah Ball, and Dado, all driving in runs in the frame.

Samantha Susany was credited with the victory. The righthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out six.

Kymora Wang took the loss for the Vestal Golden Bears. Wang lasted one and one-third innings, allowing four hits and five runs while walking zero.

Juli Stachowicz started the game for the Raiders. Stachowicz went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one

Irons went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead South Range in hits for the second day in a row.

Vestal had eight hits in the game. Edna Kiefer and Kendell Brady all collected multiple hits for Vestal. Kiefer led Vestal Varsity Golden Bears with three hits in four at-bats.

South Range went 4-1 in Myrtle Beach and now stand at 7-1 overall heading home to return to NE8 action this week hosting Poland on Monday.
