LAKEVIEW STRIKES EARLY, BEATS GIRARD

CORTLAND, OH- Lakeview jumped out to an early lead over Girard and took home a 6-1 victory on Monday. The Bulldogs scored on a double by Gabe Senkowitz, a walk by Nick Demonica, a single by Brendon Kilpatrick, and a fielder’s choice by Jake Wilms– all in the second inning.

Austin Vogt was the winning pitcher for Lakeview. He lasted all seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven and walking zero.

Braydon Freeland took the loss for Girard. He surrendered six runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out two.

Lakeview racked up ten hits. Anthony McClellann, Vogt, and Demonica all managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Demonica, Vogt, and McClellann each collected two hits to lead Lakeview. Lakeview also stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. McClellann led the way with two.
