MCDONALD PULLS OUT ANOTHER THRILLER

ATWATER OH- McDonald’s season so far has not been for the faint of heart. Their 13-0 record has come with plenty of drama, and last second heroics. Last Saturday they won by three against Waterloo at home, and Friday night on the road, the story was much of the same. McDonald won by nearly the same score, escaping Waterloo with a 67-64 victory.

It was Miles Culp that shined the brightest for the Blue Devils this time around. He led the offense with 29 points. Jake Portolese contributed a strong 19 points, including some important free throws down the stretch. Dom Carkido battled foul trouble throughout the night but still managed to get in to double figures with 10.

Kyle Shockley found a lot of success for the Vikings. He scored a game-high 31 points. Luke Simons scored 15 points off the bench in the first half and finished with 17.

McDonald is scheduled to travel to Heartland Christian on Tuesday as they try to stay undefeated. Waterloo stays home to host Warren JFK on Tuesday.
