TIGERS WASTE NO TIME GETTING BACK TO WINNING

WARREN OH- Howland wasted no time asserting their dominance on Friday night, scoring 8 runs in the opening frame en route to a commanding 12-2 run-rule victory over Girard.

Leading the charge for Howland’s offense was Madison Schmitz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with an impressive 5 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Sydney VaNess contributed with a 1-for-3 performance, driving in 2 RBIs and scoring a run. Calleigh Luman went 1-for-2 with 1 RBI, 1 run scored, and 1 walk, while Camryn Heckman added 2 RBIs to the scoreboard. Alyssa Massucci also had a standout game, going 3-for-4 and crossing the plate 3 times.

For the Tigers in the circle, Maya Kubanscek pitched a solid 5 innings for Howland, allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs while tallying 2 strikeouts.

For Girard, Caylee Wilkes drove in 2 RBIs, Kyra Bell went 2-for-2, and Brooklyn Brool scored a run. Destiny Flaherty also went 1-2 on the day.
