NEWTON FALLS EDGES THE WARRIORS AGAIN

BROOKFIELD, OHIO- Newton Falls scored late to edge the Brookfield Warriors in extra innings 7-5. The Warriors had a 5-2 lead before the Tigers scored three runs in the top of the seventh before scoring two more runs in the top of the eighth to seal the deal.

Brookfield was led by Hunter Warrender and Teddy Moody at the plate as they both had 3 hits and also scored three runs combined. Warrender was also the losing pitcher of the day as he allowed eleven hits, seven runs, and struck out six men.

Owen Gazda led things for the Tigers at the plate going 3 for 4 and was also the winning pitcher of the game as he allowed nine hits, five runs, and struck out six men.

Brookfield will try to get back into the win column when they host Pymatuning Valley on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Newton Falls will matchup against the visiting Garfield G-Men on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
