ON TO THE NEXT ROUND FOR CANFIELD

The Canfield Lady Cards lacrosse team played Boardman Wednesday night at Canfield High School in the second round of the OHSAA lacrosse tournament. The Cards came away with a 13-3 win and look to keep the momentum and energy going as they move forward in playoffs.

Offensively, the cards were lead by Radhika Uppal and Ashlyn Elford who each had three goals. Olivia Hunter had two goals and one assist, Ashleigh Haas had two goals, Kayleigh Carney had one goal and an assist, Abby Crowe had one goal, Josie Sipe had one goal, and Karley Gerst had one assist.

The Cards were flying on defense and caused the Spartans to throw five interceptions. The ground ball game was won by the Cards and was lead by Karley Gerst with four. Victoria Levonyak, Olivia Hunter, Radhika Uppal, and Abby Crowe each had four ground balls as

The Cardinals will now play Uniontown Lake Saturday at noon at Canfield High School.
