ONE BIG QUARTER DOES THE TRICK FOR URSULINE

YOUNGSTOWN OH- Ursuline delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, utilizing a massive second quarter surge to overpower South Range with a final score of 72-51. The Irish dominated the second frame 27-10, establishing a commanding 44-22 lead at halftime.

Jaylen Gunther led Ursuline’s scoring efforts with an impressive 21 points, accompanied by Geno Lucente with 13 points, and Noah Bell and Jaden Payne each contributing 9 points. Myles Miller added 8 points to the winning effort.

South Range, despite a resilient effort, couldn’t overcome Ursuline’s strong performance. Landon Moore led their scoring with 17 points, followed by Luke Rohan with 12 points and Dylan Turvey with 7 points.

Looking ahead, Ursuline (13-3) is set for a crucial road matchup against arch-rival Mooney on Friday, while South Range (12-5) returns home to face Salem on Tuesday.
