PLESKA BREAKS HOME RUN RECORD

COLUMBIANA OH- Caitlynn Pleska had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Columbiana, allowing zero runs and besting East Palestine by a score of 10-0

Pleska led the Clippers to victory by driving in five runs. Pleska went 2-for-2 at the plate. Pleska drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the fourth.

The Clippers got on the board in the first inning. They scored three runs when Pleska homered.

The Clippers scored five runs in the fourth inning. Their batters contributing to the big inning included Cameron Perkins, Tori Long, and Pleska, all knocking in runs in the inning.

One bright spot for East Palestine was a single by Leila Martin in the first inning.

Pleska led the Columbiana to victory in the circle. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Anna Yonker took the loss for East Palestine. The pitcher went four innings, allowing ten runs on nine hits and striking out three.

The Clippers socked two home run on the day. Pleska went for the long ball in the first and fourth innings.

East Palestine was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jasmine Ludt had the most chances in the field with five.
