POTTERS PITCHING GUIDES THE WAY

EAST LIVERPOOL OH- Jake Smith was dominant on the bump, as the starting pitcher rang up 11 strikeouts in East Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Madonna on Monday. Smith allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking one. Both teams were strong on the hill. The Potters pitchers struck out 11, while Madonna sat down 10.

East Liverpool got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning after Malachi Reed walked, and Kasen Ramsey hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Evan Tice, Anderson Fitch, and Nate Birch each collected one hit for East Liverpool. Reed and Ramsey were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run.
