RAIDERS SWING AWAY IN WIN OVER NILES

South Range took the lead late in the game in a 17-7 victory over McKinley on Tuesday. The game was tied at seven with the Raiders batting in the bottom of the fourth when Corey Penick drew a walk, scoring one run.

South Range was boosted by Brandon Mikos who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Mikos singled in the first, tripled in the second, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

South Range got things started in the first inning. Trey Pancake doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

McKinley evened things up at five in the top of the third inning when Chase Sudzina singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

The Raiders pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Mikos doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Penick drew a walk, scoring one run, and Mikie Perry doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Aidan English pitched South Range to victory. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over two and a third innings, striking out six.

Kris Hrosar took the loss for McKinley. The pitcher surrendered one run on two hits, walking zero.

Andrew Huffman started the game for McKinley. Huffman lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Billy Skripac started the game for the Raiders. Skripac went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking one

South Range had 16 hits in the game. Mikos, Skripac, Perry, and Pancake all collected multiple hits. Mikos went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

McKinley tallied nine hits in the game. Zack Macik and Anthony Fisher each collected multiple hits. Macik led McKinley with three hits in three at bats.
