RAMS HAVE TO DIG DEEP TO STAY IN FRONT OF MVAC

MCDONALD OH- In a thrilling volleyball showdown, Mineral Ridge faced a formidable challenge from McDonald but managed to come out on top in a five-set battle. The Rams showed their resilience, clinching the victory with scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-12, 16-25, and 15-12.

Ava Hulett emerged as the driving force behind Mineral Ridge’s triumph, delivering an exceptional performance with 22 kills and an impressive 21 digs. Her ability to contribute both offensively and defensively played a pivotal role in securing the win.

Faith Schneider was another standout performer for the Rams, demonstrating her versatility with 27 digs and 21 kills, showcasing her proficiency in both digging and attacking.

Sammie Aulet orchestrated the team’s offense brilliantly, amassing a remarkable 58 assists along with 10 digs, highlighting her role as a key playmaker.

Anastasia Busse made her presence felt with 12 kills and 5 aces, contributing to the Rams’ scoring efforts. Sheryaliz Bonilla-Molina displayed her defensive prowess with 28 digs and added 4 aces to the mix.

Mikayla Russel rounded out the defensive effort with 9 digs, ensuring that Mineral Ridge maintained a strong presence on the backline.

On the opposing side, McDonald had its share of standout performers as well. Gianna Costantino tallied 8 kills and 15 digs, while Juliana Krumpak and Lauren Sierra combined for 12 kills and 15 digs. Grace Bundy chipped in with 7 kills, adding depth to the team’s offensive arsenal.

Miley Titus contributed significantly with 18 digs, showcasing her ability to handle the defensive responsibilities. Megan Klockner displayed her prowess as a setter, recording an impressive double-double with 25 assists and 10 digs.
