RESERVE RALLIES, CLIPS COLUMBIANA

COLUMBIANA, OH-  The Clippers (1-4) dropped another close battle, this time with Western Reserve (1-1) in a rain/darkness shortened game on Friday afternoon.  The game was called with two outs in the top of the seventh so the score reverts back to the last completed inning which had the Blue Devils on top 7-5 after six.

Columbiana had it’s best offensive output of the year.  AJ Perkins and Chase Franken each had two hits with Franken also belting a double in the sixth inning.  Zach Fahs led off the 2nd with a triple to right and Evan Kenneally and Tyler Andersen each collected their first varsity hits.  Andersen also knocked in his first career run.

The Clippers game for Saturday morning with Beaver Local was postponed due to snow.

 

Tyler Anderson took home the G Burbick Farms Player of the Game
