SPRINGFIELD MAKES WAVES AGAINST BROOKFIELD

BROOKFIELD OH- The MVAC conference is going to be highly contested on both sides this season. That being said, any time the two divisions square off with each other, you know it will be a fun time. Earlier in the week Springfield lost a heartbreaker to Crestview out of the gray tier by three. They responded on Thursday with a big win over Brookfield 45-35.

Jacey Mullen led the Tigers for the second game in a row finishing with 15 points.   Jameka Brungard was also in double figures finishing with 13.  Madi Lesnak contributed an important 9 points.

Cailey Wellman led Brookfield finishing in double figures with 12 points.  Sophia Hook worked hard to get 8 points against a stout Tigers defense.  Katie Gibson also got in the stat book with 6 points.

Springfield returns home on Monday to take on Hubbard out of the NE8.  Brookfield will open up their conference play on Thursday as they travel to Campbell.
