STORM COMES BACK TO SPLIT FIRST DAY IN COLUMBUS

COLUMBUS OH- After falling in their first game of the day, the Steel Valley Storm picked themselves up with an impressive comeback victory of the USSSA Pride Platinum team in a 6-4 win. The Storm scored 6 unanswered runs after falling behind 4-0 early.

Gretchen Bartels led the team in production knocking in 2 RBI on a 1-2 day. Maddie Wymer led in hits with a 2-3 effort collecting 1 RBI and a run scored. Gabby Goddard and Christina Montgomery both notched RBI as well. The biggest hit of the game came from Laci Jurus who broke a 4-4 tie in the last inning. It proved to be the game winning hit.

Leah Habeger got the win in the circle for the Storm as she threw 5 innings and gave up 1 run on 4 hits. She struck out 1, and avoided any walks.
