LATE RUNS PUSH AVALANCHE PAST CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche uses some late scoring on Sunday morning to push past Creekside 5-3. Going into the 6th inning Avalanche led 1-0. They scored two in the top of the inning. Creekside answered with 3 to tie things up. Avalanche then answered right back with two runs in the 7th to secure the win.

Julian Trott has a great day at the plate for Avalanche. He went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a walk. Haydin McLaughun went 1-4 with a RBI.

For Creekside, Devin Gruver went 2-2 with a run scored and a RBI. Shane Lindstrom went 1-3 with a run scored an a RBI.

Nick Ondo got the bulk of the work on the mound for Avalanche. He went 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits. He struck out 11.

KNIGHTLINE MAKES QUICK WORK OF AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- It was all Knightline in the game on Friday against Avalanche. Knightline scores 9 runs in the first two innings. Their pitching held Avalanche to 2 hits.

Jake Kling went 1-1 with a walk and 2 runs scored for Knightline. He also added 2 RBI. Dru DeShields went 1-2 with a walk and 3 RBI. Anthony Massucci went 3-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Tim West went 1-1 for Avalanche. Paxton Grimes went 1-2 with a run scored.

Anthony Massucci dazzled on the mound for Knightline. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He struck out 5.

ROTH BROTHERS BATS STAY HOT

STRUTHERS, OH – Jared Obreza started off strong on the mound for Roth Brothers as he started off a little shaky against the Avalanche offense but settled in nicely after the first inning. The Avalanche offense got on the board early as they scored two in the top of the first but their bats went cold once Obreza got warmed up. The Roth Brothers offense came out firing on all cylinders as they manufactured runs every inning during the game en route to a 12-2 win.

For Avalanche, Conner Evans went 1-3 with a run scored. Marshall Weinburg went 1-3 with a double, run scored, and an RBI. Jack McQueen also went 1-3 with an RBI. Tyler Cummings ended up taking the loss but went 3 innings giving up 6 runs, 4 of which were earned, on 7 hits with 2 strikeouts.

For Roth Brothers, Brett Beith went 3-4 with a double, run scored, and an RBI. Alex Tomsic went 1-1 with a triple and 2 RBI. Cam Hollobaugh went 1-3 with a triple, walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Anthony Cortese also added in 2 RBI on the day.

The winning pitcher was Jared Obreza for Roth Brothers as he went 4 strong innings giving up 2 earned runs on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts.

AVALANCHE CAGES EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH- It was a quick start for Avalanche on Wednesday against Eagle Wear. They opened up the game with a three run 1st. They peppered some late insurance runs to keep Eagle Wear at bay.

Jake Mattocks went 1-3 for Avalanche. He scored a run and collected 2 RBI. Zac Lanshcak went 1-2 with a RBI.

For Eagle Wear, Joe Roth went 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Anthony Caruso went 2-3 with a RBI. Chris Altiere went 3-4 with a run scored.

Colin Brainard got the win on the mound for Avalanche. He went 4 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits. He struck out a pair.

BALLISTIC COMES OUT ON TOP DURING HIGH SCORING AFFAIR

STRUTHERS OH- Scoring was not a problem Tuesday for Ballistic Baseball and Avalanche. The two teams combined for 29 runs and 19 hits. Ballistic had a massive twelve run 5th in response to a six run 4th by Avalanche.

Koby Zupko went 4-4 for Ballistic with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Matt Dubois went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 5 RBI.

For Avalanche Marshal Weinburg went 2-3 with a run scored and 4 RBI. Conner Evans went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Isaac Schleich got the win on the mound for Ballistic. He went 2 innings giving up 6 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 1.

BALLISTIC SQUEEZES BY AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH-

Ballistic Baseball snagged a late lead and defeated Avalanche  4-3 on Monday. The game was tied at two with Ballistic batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run.

Ballistic got things started in the second inning when Boston Mullinax singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Avalanche evened things up at three in the top of the sixth inning when David Moyer grounded out, scoring one run.

Zach Ganser led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Ballistic. He allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Hunter Stelter was on the hill for Avalanche. He lasted three innings, allowing six hits and two runs while walking zero.  Chandler Maurice and Aidan Bowser entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Ballistic had eight hits in the game.  Beau Alazaus and Mullinax all had multiple hits. Mullinax and Alazaus each managed two hits to lead

Avalanche saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game.  Mark Cattron and Maurice all managed multiple hits.  Cattron went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead.

DURA EDGE WINS SLUGFEST AGAINST AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Offense was not hard to find Sunday between Dura Edge and Avalanche. The teams combined for 12 runs and 19 hits. Dura Edge came out on top 7-5. They scored in every innings except the 3rd.

Nate Rynd went 1-3 for Dura Edge with a run scored and a RBI. Marco Massucci mirrored those numbers going 1-3 with a RBI and a run scored himself.

For Avalanche, Zac Lanshcak went 2-2 with a run scored, a walk, and a RBI. Collin Brainard went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI.

Jack Beneigh got the win tossing for Dura Edge. He went 2 innings and gave up 1 earned run on 1 hit. He struck out 3.

 

CREEKSIDE TOO MUCH FOR AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside had no trouble in their 5-0 win over Avalanche on Sunday. Their pitching held Avalanche to one hit. A four run 4th inning all but sealed the deal.

Alex Duffalo went 1-2 for Creekside with a walk and 2 RBI. Gavin Miller had 2 of Creekside’s 4 hits going 2-2 with 2 walks and a run scored.

John King got the only hit for Avalanche going 1-2. Henry Falcon, and Derek Franken both walked.

Ben Petske got the win for Creekside. He went 4 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and striking out 4.

ASTRO FALCONS BOUNCE BACK AGAINST BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Astro Falcons looked to bounce back on Friday after their first loss of the season on Thursday night. And bounce back they did. They stormed to a 9-2 win over Avalanche. They scored eight runs between the 4th and 6th innings.

Ryan Feczco went 1-1 for the Falcons with 2 walks, and 2 RBI. Mitch Gorsch went 1-2 with a walk and 2 RBI.

Koby Zupko went 1-2 for Avalanche with a RBI. Isaac Schleich went 1-2.

Brandon Bergert got the win on the bump for the Falcons. He went 3 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out a pair.

LATE BURST PROPELS DURA EDGE PAST AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche had a 3-1 lead for the first half of their game against Dura Edge on Thursday night. But Dura Edge scores four in the 6th and two in the 7th to walk away with a 7-3 victory.

Brock Janeda went 1-3 for Dura Edge with a walk and 2 RBI. Vince Armeni went 2-4 with a RBI and a run scored.

For Avalanche, Aaron Elsworth went 1-1 with a walk and a RBI. John King went 3-3 with a run scored.

Jake Bowen got the win on the mound for Dura Edge, he went 2 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out 3.

Tyler Cummings pitches well in a losing effort for Avalanche. He went 6 innings and gave up just 1 earned run on 8 hits. He struck out a pair.
