COLUMBIANA FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH BOB SPAITE (EP 2)

After a tough flight in the early going for the Clippers, Columbiana welcomes a familiar foe to town this week in the Springfield Tigers.  Coach Spaite and his wingmen stand in familiar territory with their 0-2 record this year, as they’ve done in years past.

Our Mark Franken caught up with Coach Spaite to discuss the challenges that a slow start creates, and how the team can build unity around adversity.

A no-holds-barred (as always) interview with Columbiana’s finest Head Ball Coach is waiting for you.

THE BELL RINGS LOUD IN LISBON

The Senior “Do It All” standout in Lisbon, Logan Bell is proving himself to be a force at more than one position on the football field, and quite literally checks the boxes for his teammates and coaches:

————————————-

Pocket Passer- Check

Ability to run the football- Check

Outstanding Defender- Check

Kickoff specialist- Check

————————————–

Is there anything he can’t do?  Perhaps the answer lies in their record.  Bell has helped lead his team to a 2-0 mark heading into Week 3 against Valley Christian.  Our Tyler Hoffman caught up with Logan to discuss his love for sports and plans following graduation.  He also gives us the scoop on his favorite genre of music, can you guess it?

JUSTIN TIME FOR LISBON

The heartbeat is strong in Lisbon this year!  Among a great group of Seniors stands a leader with flowing locks like Thor, and plans to drop the hammer on opposing defenses.  The Devil’s Tailback, Justin Sweeney is detailed as an athlete, not just a football player.  He makes opposing coaches cringe with the athleticism, and versatility he possesses.

But in a great sit-down with Tyler Hoffman, Justin breaks down his love for his new coach, as well as what he wants to do after his Blue Devil days come to an end.

This week’s Lisbon Player Profile is Justin Sweeney: JUSTIN TIME FOR LISBON.

LADY BEARS EMBRACE LEADERSHIP ROLES IN LEETONIA

LEETONIA, OH-  When it comes to school spirit, Leetonia Seniors Kayleigh Heffner and Brea Moore have it in bulk.  Quite literally, actually.  These two cheerleaders can go from smile to game face in a snap, and that’s what they’re trying to master for the Lady Bears Volleyball Team.

While they still pride themselves on leading a crowd, it’s their final season to do so on the court for volleyball.  In our discussion, the focus, drive, and inspiration are evident for these two leaders as they look to turn things around at Leetonia.

We sat down with Kayleigh and Brea for our first Leetonia Lady Bears Player Profile of 2018.

LEETONIA VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 1) WITH LEANNA MEEKS

LEETONIA, OH-  The smell of the wax on the gym floor, the squeaking of new shoes, the look of hope in every student-athlete can only mean one thing.  The new Fall season has arrived!  This year YSN is putting emphasis on more schools and more sports, but without giving up an ounce of coverage for any of our partner schools in our inaugural year.

So this year, we’re sitting down with Leetonia Volleyball Coach, who in her third year is looking to build on the foundation that her program has constructed thus far.

Without further ado, LiB’s Market in Salem proudly presents Leetonia Volleyball Coach’s Corner with Leanna Meeks:
