YOUNGSTOWN OH- For the second straight season Ursuline is heading to regionals. This team has set this as a goal ever since falling just short of Akron in their last game last season. Not only do they want to win for their seniors this season, but last year’s seniors deserve to see this program in state. Ursuline got the 7-0 win over Rootstown in the district championship to clinch the trip to regionals. The Irish will travel to Ravenna on Wednesday to take on Northwestern for the regional semifinals. On the other side of the bracket South Range plays Tuslaw. Games in Ravenna start at 1:00. Ursuline is slated as the second game of the day.

Head coach Kristina Dugan stopped by Running Point to recap the Irish district championship run, and give us a preview of the upcoming regional game. Ty Bartell and Anthony Hartwig get a chance to speak with coach exclusively on YSN.
