TIGERS STAY DOMINANT IN DISTRICTS

NEW MIDDLETOWN OH- Springfield has been to three straight district championships, and after Friday night, they have won two of those three. The Tigers kept Pymatuning Valley at bay and won the district crown 63-53.

THe big turning point in the game was a 15-0 Springfield run in the second quarter. It gave the Tigers a vice grip on the game that they never let go of.

Beau Brungard, and RJ Smith both shared the scoring lead for Springfield’s offense with 16 points each. Clay Medvec was right behind them with 15 points.

Springfield advances to the regional semifinals where they will square off against Norwayne. That game will take place Tuesday at Twinsburg High School.
