WARRIORS GIRLS TRIUMPH IN TRIANGULAR MEET

Falcon Pride Stadium in Jefferson, Ohio, witnessed an intense showdown of athleticism as high school track and field teams from Edgewood, Conneaut, and Jefferson competed in a triangular meet on April 24. Amongst the thrilling races and remarkable performances, Edgewood emerged as the standout team, leaving their mark on the track.
**Girls 100-Yard Dash**
In the exhilarating 100-yard dash, Chloe Hall from Edgewood showcased her speed, crossing the finish line first in 13.22 seconds, securing crucial points for her team. Holly Pierce of Jefferson Area displayed her sprinting prowess, claiming second place with a time of 13.59 seconds.
**Girls 200-Yard Dash**
Holly Pierce of Jefferson Area continued her stellar performance in the 200-yard dash, securing first place with a time of 28.95 seconds. Gabby Talley, also from Jefferson Area, demonstrated her speed, clinching second place with a time of 29.54 seconds.
**Girls 400-Yard Dash**
Macey McBride of Conneaut exhibited her endurance in the 400-yard dash, finishing strong with a time of 1 minute and 2.24 seconds, earning valuable points for her team. Maddie Crooks from Edgewood showcased her determination, securing second place with a time of 1 minute and 4.56 seconds.
**Girls 800-Yard Run**
Tammy Liplin of Edgewood showcased her stamina in the 800-yard run, finishing first with a time of 2 minutes and 32.74 seconds. Crooks, also representing Edgewood, secured the second position with a time of 2 minutes and 33.29 seconds.
**Girls 1600-Yard Run**
Liplin continued her dominance in the 1600-yard run, crossing the finish line first with a time of 5 minutes and 32.54 seconds. Emma Phillips from Jefferson Area showcased her talent, claiming the second position.
**Girls 3200-Yard Run**
Phillips displayed her endurance in the grueling 3200-yard run, clinching victory with a time of 11 minutes and 57.37 seconds, while Audrey Bellas from Jefferson Area secured the second position.
**Girls 100-Yard Hurdles**
Morgan Haywood of Edgewood displayed her agility in the 100-yard hurdles, securing first place, while Payton Corrigan followed closely behind to claim the second spot.
**Girls 300-Yard Hurdles**
Conneaut’s Anna Ring showcased her skill in the 300-yard hurdles, clinching victory for her team, while Isabel Glink from Jefferson Area secured the second position.
**Relay Events**
Edgewood demonstrated their teamwork in the relay events, securing first place in both the 4×100 and 4×200-yard relays, while Conneaut and Jefferson Area put up commendable performances.
**Field Events**
Edgewood’s Taylor Visnosky dominated the throwing events, securing first place in both the shot put and discus throw, contributing significantly to her team’s overall score.
Jefferson’s Emma Phillips edged out Edgewood’s Hannah Brunell in the high jump, while Payton Corrigan and Morgan finshed one – two in the pole vault.  Chloe Hall outdistanced Anna Ring of Conneaut in the long jump.
With stellar performances across various events, Edgewood emerged as the clear victor of the meet, amassing a total of 69 points. Jefferson Area displayed commendable effort, securing the second position with 56.50 points, while Conneaut rounded out the rankings with 41.50 points.
As the athletes leave Falcon Pride Stadium, Edgewood celebrates their outstanding victory, setting the stage for future successes as they continue to shine on the track and field circuit.
