WARRIORS BOYS ON TOP IN TRIANGULAR TRACK MEET

Falcon Pride Stadium in Jefferson, Ohio, witnessed a display of outstanding athleticism as high school track and field teams from Edgewood, Conneaut, and Jefferson battled it out in a triangular meet on April 24. Amongst the electrifying races and remarkable performances, Edgewood’s boys emerged as the dominant force on the track.
**Boys 100-Yard Dash**
Kaige Boczar from Jefferson Area set the pace in the 100-yard dash, blazing across the finish line in 11.07 seconds to claim the top spot. Austin Paneto of Edgewood showcased his speed, securing second place with a time of 11.48 seconds.
**Boys 200-Yard Dash**
Paneto continued to impress in the 200-yard dash, clinching victory for Edgewood with a time of 23.84 seconds. Jasiah Pope, also representing Edgewood, showcased his sprinting prowess, securing the second position.
**Boys 400-Yard Dash**
Braylon Wetherbee of Edgewood displayed his speed and endurance in the 400-yard dash, crossing the finish line first with a time of 55.84 seconds. Braden Billings from Conneaut put up a strong performance, claiming second place.
**Boys 800-Yard Run**
Hamilton Spero of Conneaut demonstrated his stamina in the 800-yard run, securing first place with a time of 2 minutes and 18.50 seconds. Micheal Ochoa from Edgewood showcased his determination, clinching the second position.
**Boys 1600-Yard Run**
Luke Sly from Jefferson Area showcased his endurance in the 1600-yard run, securing victory with a time of 4 minutes and 54.80 seconds. Spero continued to impress, securing the second position for Conneaut.
**Boys 3200-Yard Run**
Logan Furman from Jefferson Area dominated the grueling 3200-yard run, crossing the finish line first with a time of 11 minutes and 13.99 seconds. Carter Schaubert, also from Jefferson Area, secured the second position.
**Boys 110-Yard Hurdles**
Wyatt Payne of Conneaut displayed his agility in the 110-yard hurdles, securing first place, while Joe DeGeorge from Jefferson Area followed closely behind to claim the second spot.
**Boys 300-Yard Hurdles**
Nick Kister of Edgewood showcased his skill in the 300-yard hurdles, clinching victory, with Sevi Chapman, also from Edgewood, securing the second position.
**Relay Events**
Jefferson Area’s team displayed exceptional teamwork in the 4×100-yard relay, securing first place, while Edgewood’s team showcased their prowess in the 4×200-yard relay, clinching victory.
**Field Events**
Chris Skwera of Edgewood dominated the pole vault, securing first place, while Zeke Lucas, also from Edgewood, claimed the second position. In the long jump, Kaige Boczar from Jefferson Area soared to victory, while Noah Hommes from Edgewood secured second place.  Joe DeGeorge dominated in the high jump, with Noah Hommes in second place.
**Throws**
Nathan Cameron from Edgewood showcased his strength in the shot put, securing first place, while Matt Webster from Jefferson Area claimed second place. In the discus throw, Brock Fultz of Edgewood emerged victorious, with Cameron securing the second position.
With stellar performances across various events, Edgewood’s boys emerged as the clear victors of the meet, amassing a total of 84 points. Jefferson Area displayed commendable effort, securing the second position with 58.50 points, while Conneaut rounded out the rankings with 32.50 points.
As the athletes leave Falcon Pride Stadium, Edgewood celebrates their outstanding victory, setting the stage for future successes as they continue to dominate the track and field circuit.
