WARRIORS TOP HOPEWELL

HOPEWELL, PA- Mohawk snagged a late lead and defeated Hopewell 4-3 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with the Warriors batting in the top of the fifth when Lucas Cummings doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

In the first inning, Hopewell got their offense started. Lucas Arington drove in one when Arington doubled.

Cooper Vance was credited with the victory for Mohawk. The right-hander allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out nine. J.C. Voss threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Voss recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Mohawk.

Anthony LaSala took the loss for Hopewell. LaSala allowed nine hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one.

The Warriors totaled nine hits in the game. VanceVossCummings, and Jay Wrona all had multiple hits for MohawkWronaCummingsVoss, and Vance each collected two hits to lead Warrior hitters.

Arington led Hopewell with two hits in four at-bats.
