WARRIORS TURN THE PAGE

NEWTON FALLS, OHIO- Five hits from Arianna Jones helped lead Brookfield past Newton Falls 23-3 on Wednesday.

Jones doubled in the first, tripled in the third, singled in the third, homered in the fifth, and singled in the fifth to lead the Warriors at the plate.

The Warriors earned the victory despite allowing the Tigers to score three runs in the fourth inning when a home run was hit by Ashlie Harvey.

The Warriors had their big inning when they scored ten runs in the fifth inning as they were led by the big bats of Jones, Jasmine Hubbard, Jenae  Pugh, Sophia  Hook, Katie Logan, and Abby DeJoy, who all drove in runs.

Miranda Nicholson earned the victory in the circle as the pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one.  Rylie Burdge threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Addison Garro took the loss for Newton Falls as the pitcher allowed 23 hits and 23 runs over five innings, striking out five.

Newton Falls and Brookfield will go up against each other once again  on Thursday at 5:30.
