LIFE’S A BEACH; RANGE RAKING ON THE ROAD

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- For the second day in a row, the Lady Raiders of South Range had a late push to seal victory on the beach.  A five-run seventh inning led South Range to an 8-1 victory on Thursday. The offensive onslaught by South Range was led by Jamie Feren, Juli Stachowicz, Samantha Susany, Kelly Szolek, and Gretchen Bartels, who all drove in runs.

The Lady Raiders fired up the offense in the second inning. Bartels drove in one when she singled.

South Range put up five runs in the seventh inning. South Range Raiders Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Feren, Stachowicz, and Bartels, a triple by Susany, and Szolek.

Susany took the win for the Burgundy and Gold. The pitcher went seven innings strong, allowing one run on two hits, striking out eight, and walking one.

Gross took the loss for Madison. She went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 15 hits, striking out two, and walking zero.

South Range racked up 15 hits in the game. Reagan Irons, Szolek, Madison Dado, Bartels, Feren, and Stachowicz each racked up multiple hits offensively. Irons led South Range with three hits in four at-bats.
