COLUMBIANA, OH-  On Senior Night in Columbiana it was the Clipper seniors who helped lead the way in a 10-0 victory over Leetonia on Monday afternoon.

Getting the start on the bump was senior AJ Perkins.  Perkins was efficient all night long allowing only 2 hits, striking out 4 and walking 0 in his complete game 58 pitch effort.  Senior Zach Fahs had an excellent game at the plate collecting 3 hits including a triple and double while scoring 2 runs and knocking in 1.  Senior Aaron “Axle” Thistlewaite had 2 hits including his first varsity knock and RBI in the 3rd inning.  Thistlewaite would also score 2 runs for the winners.  Senior Dejon Hudson was a stalwart at 2nd base and was on the receiving end of a double play in the 4th inning.

Columbiana (9-13, 8-3 EOAC) will head to Leetonia tomorrow afternoon to play the final game of its two-game set with the Bears.  First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.
