FALCONS SUFFER FIRST STUMBLE OF THE SEASON

MYRTLE BEACH SC-  The Lady Falcon softball team suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Archbishop Spalding, #3 ranked team in the state of Maryland, by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday morning at the Grand Strand Classic in Mrytle Beach, SC.  The game was shortened to 5 innings due to previous rain outs for both teams.

Freshmen pitcher Sydnie Watts went the distances for the Falcons allowing only 1 hit and striking out 10 batters in the loss.

Sophomore Ayla Ray (single) and Watts (Single, double) provided three hits for the Falcons who were done in by a great defenisve play on a line-drive comebacker to the pticher who snared it out of mid-air to thwart an offensive rally.
