HOWLAND PUTS THE BULLDOGS IN THE POUND

HOWLAND OH- Howland delivered a significant upset on Tuesday night, securing a notable 50-34 victory over Poland, who suffered only their third loss of the year. The Tigers displayed a well-rounded effort on both ends of the court, disrupting Poland’s rhythm and clinching a convincing win.

Leading the charge for Howland, Anthony Chieffo contributed 12 points, while TJ Douglas added 10 points, and Alex Henry and Chris Fenton chipped in with 8 and 7 points, respectively.

Poland, despite their efforts, faced a resilient Howland defense. Cole Fulton led the Poland scoring effort with 11 points, supported by Andrew Todd’s 10 points and Oliver McCully’s 7 points.

With this triumph, Howland advances to a 6-6 record and sets their sights on returning to conference play with a Friday matchup on the road against Fitch. Poland, at 7-3, looks to regroup and return to league play with a road game against Struthers on Friday.
