LADY REBS START OFF SOUTHERN TRIP ON RIGHT FOOT

MYRTLE BEACH, SC-  Crestview opened their first game in the South with a 10-4 win against Green Sea Floyd at the Ripken Experience.

Crestview retired the first 12 batters defensively. Crestview leadoff hitter Haley Eskra began the game off with a single and came all the way around on a Karsyn Moore’s triple to left field. Moore later scored on Skyler Mattern single up the middle making it 2-0 at the end of 1 inning.

In the bottom of the third Mattern scored on Baylie Bettura’s single to right field making it 3-0. Crestview would later add 3 runs in the 5th and 4 runs in the 6th. Green Sea Floyd would add 3 runs in the 6th and another one in the 7th. Crestview was led offensively by Eskra with 4 singles, Karsyn Moore added a single, double and a triple, Olivia Strank & Shianna Mathes each added 3 hits. Crestview stacked 20 hits while Green Sea Floyd was limited to 8.

Kaedyn Sutton pitched 7 innings striking out 10, giving up 8 hits and zero walks.

Crestview improves to 15-3 on the season and will play Black River Falls, WI on Saturday at 11:00 am.
