PETRO STAYS HOT; CARDINALS CAGE HOWLAND

CANFIELD, OH- Canfield’s Ryan Petro didn’t allow a single run against Howland, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Canfield to a 2-0 victory on Wednesday

The pitching was strong on both sides. Petro struck out seven, while Gebhardt sat down five.  A single by Price in the fourth inning was positive for Howland.  Petro was credited with the victory for Canfield. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Gebhardt toed the rubber for Howland. The hurler went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five.

Gianni GaetanoJosh JulianoDom Magliocca, and Nate Shaw all had one hit to lead Canfield.
