RAIDERS TO PLAY FOR THIRD STRAIGHT DISTRICT CROWN

CANFIELD OH- South Range has made a home inside the district tournament for the last three years. On Tuesday night South Range punched their ticket to their third straight district championship game with a 4-1 win over Mooney, and they’ll try to win their third as well.

Juli Stachowicz pitched South Range to victory. The southpaw lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out 16 and walking zero.

Alaina Francis took the loss for Cardinal Mooney. Francis allowed six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Madison Dado, Stachowicz, Jayli Wilt, Reagan Irons, Jamie Feren, Kelly Szolek, and Sam Susany each managed one hit to lead South Range Raiders. The Raiders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Szolek had the most chances in the field with 16.

Alaina Scavina led Cardinal the Cardinals with one hit in three at bats. She went yard for a home run in the first inning.

South Range will play Gilmour Academy with the district championship on the line Thursday night. First pitch from South Range will be at 5:00.
