RAMS WIN CLOSE CALL WITH LOWELLVILLE

Bats were blistered as Mineral Ridge defeated Lowellville 7-6 on Tuesday.

Lowellville got things started in the first inning. Marissa Rivera drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Rams tied things up at six when Kaylee Repp singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Maddy Ylonen was credited with the victory for Mineral Ridge. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one and walking one. Morgan Sigley threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sammie Kelly took the loss for Lowellville. The hurler went five innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, striking out six and walking one.

Haleigh Taylor started the game for the Rams. The righthander surrendered three runs on two hits over one inning Sophia Alfano started the game for Lowellville. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one

Mineral Ridge racked up 12 hits on the day. Repp, Ylonen, Sigley, and Taylor each racked up multiple hits. Repp led with three hits in three at bats.

Lowellville tallied eight hits on the day. Brooke Ginnis and Callie Kester each had multiple hits.
