ROVERS PROVE TOO MUCH FOR MOONEY

STRUTHERS OH- Rootstown asserted their will over Cardinal Mooney on Monday on their way to a 11-1 victory. The win ends Mooney’s season, and sends Rootstown to the district championship.

Rootstown notched five runs in the fifth inning. Blake Bower, Mason Bartholomy, Tony Karp, and Nathan Galambos each drove in runs.

Galambos was the winning pitcher for the Rovers. The righty allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Bronson Ferencak took the loss for Cardinal Mooney. Ferencak lasted three innings, allowing five hits and six runs.

Rootstown collected eight hits on the day. Joe Weaver and Austin Biggin each collected multiple hits. Biggin and Weaver each collected two hits to lead.
