SALEM ESCAPES LIONS DEN

MINERVA OH- After a scoreless first quarter, the Quakers would come out firing in the 2nd scoring twice in the first 4 minutes of the quarter on a pair of touchdown passes from Johnson to Exline and Booth.

Salem looked primed to score again but a fumble gave the ball back to the lions who marched down and scored, cutting the lead to 14-7 at the half.
In the second half, the Quakers set the tempo scoring first to go up 21-7 and never looked back, scoring 28 second half points to hold off the pesky Lions 42-26.
Jackson Johnson led the charge accounting for 5 touchdowns (4 passing, 1 rushing), including 3 to Blaize Exline.
Salem (2-3) returns home next week to host Alliance at Sebo Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.
