This triumph marked a significant turning point for Southern, ending a long-standing losing streak against Wellsville and halting the latter’s remarkable run of consecutive titles.

Southern, with a record of 15-3 (10-3), displayed tremendous determination and resilience throughout the match. Ashley Shroades was a force to be reckoned with, recording a remarkable 25 kills, showcasing her prowess as an offensive powerhouse.

Rylee Mellott orchestrated the offense brilliantly, contributing 40 assists to her team’s victory. Her precise setting and decision-making were instrumental in Southern’s success.
