BADGER HANGS ON FOR THRILLING WIN IN LISBON

LISBON OH- Fresh off a big win over Jackson Milton on Tuesday, Badger came in to Friday with upset on their mind. They knew they’d have a height advantage, and tried to use as much as possible. However, Lisbon countered at every turn with their superior guard play. The two conflicting styles clashing turned into an instant classic. BADGER BOYS BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 2) WITH JOSH UPSHIRE

KINGSMAN OH- Badger brings a ton of size with them to this division 4 district tournament. That is a big advantage they have over other teams, and head coach Josh Upshire knows it. Now, Jackson Milton knows it as well. The height of the Braves caused too many problems for the Blue Jays to overcome in the sectional semifinal. Badger moves on to travel to Lisbon in the sectional final on Friday, and they hope their size will be just as dominating.

Coach Upshire took time to come on YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about where his team is at heading into their next tournament game. He talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about the game plan heading in to Lisbon. Check out Episode 2 of Coach’s Corner with Josh Upshire.

LOWELLVILLE PUNCHES TICKET TO DISTRICTS IN DOUBLE OVERTIME THRILLER

LOWELLVILLE OH- Lowellville has been steadily but surely under the radar this season. The Rockets went into Kingsman with upset on the brain, and they got it after a marathon double overtime classic. The Rockets got the 60-55 win.

Frankie Lellio led the Rockets with 16 points. She was not the only one in double figures however as she was joined by three teammates. Sammie Moore, and Savannah Procick both racked in 13. Procick was 3/5 from three point land. Lilly Coppola added 11. Lowellville hit 8 threes as a team.
