NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH- The Springfield Tigers put on a show for the hometown crowd during their 55-7 rout of MVAC foe Mineral Ridge on Friday night.

The Tigers wasted little time getting things going, as Beau Brungard connected with Nick Slike down the middle seam on the first play from scrimmage from 65 yards out. After a quick Mineral Ridge three-and-out, Brungard used his legs ran it 26 yards into the endzone to extend the Springfield lead to 14-0 while fans were still getting comfortable in the bleachers. The Tigers added on three more touchdowns in the first quarter courtesy of touchdown runs by Brungard and Joey Sandine, as well as a touchdown pass from Brungard to Jake Joyce to make the score 35-0 after just 12 minutes of play.

Bright sports came few and far between for the Rams on Friday night, but quarterback Mark Bunch held his own, evading pressure multiple times and throwing many impressive passes while on-the-run.
