TORONTO LEAVES EP SEEING RED

NEW WATERFORD, OH- East Palestine fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Toronto on Wednesday. Toronto scored on a double by Karaffa, a double by Herrick, a double by Clegg, and a single by Berger in the first inning.

Thomas earned the win for Toronto. He lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one. Herrick threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Dalton Vance took the loss for East Palestine. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs.  Offensively, East Palestine collected 11 hits. Vance and Jordon Fristik all managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Fristik and Vance each collected two hits to lead the team.

Toronto racked up 11 hits as well. KaraffaCleggGulczynskiHerrick, and Chetock each racked up multiple hits for Toronto.  Toronto tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Karaffa led the way with two. Toronto was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Berger had the most chances in the field with seven.
