CRESTVIEW WINS BACK AND FORTH BATTLE WITH THE TIGERS

NEW MIDDLETOWN OH- In a thrilling matchup between Crestview and Springfield, Monday’s game proved to be a battle of two talented teams. The first quarter set the tone with an even contest, concluding with an 11-10 lead for Crestview. From there, the teams engaged in a back-and-forth, with both squads trading runs throughout the game. Ultimately, it was Crestview that secured the last gasp, holding on for a narrow 54-52 victory.

Crestview’s standout performer was Addison Rhodes, who notched an impressive double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Luvrain Gaskins contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds, while in her first varsity start, Myer Miller showcased her skills with 9 points, including a crucial late three-pointer that helped keep the Rebels in front. Emily Downey added 8 points to the winning effort.

On the Springfield side, Jameka Brungard delivered a stellar performance with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Ava Vecchione and Mariana Tuscano each contributed 13 points, while Karigan Mullen added 7 points.

Looking ahead, Crestview will return to the floor for their home opener against Lowellville on Thursday. Springfield, aiming to bounce back, will face Brookfield in their next matchup on Thursday at home.
