TWO LATE RUNS PROPEL BULLDOGS TO VICTORY
EAST PALESTINE OH East Palestine got to stir the pot of the EOAC on Monday night as they weathered the rainy conditions and beat Lisbon 7-5.
Lisbon opened up scoring in the second inning when Ryan Reckner doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
East Palestine took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Kyler Bourne singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Blake Noel was credited with the victory for East Palestine. The fireballer lasted four innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one.
Daimen McCormick took the loss for the Blue Devils. The pitcher went five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four.
Hunter Sturgeon started the game for Lisbon. Sturgeon lasted one inning, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out one
Max Carvelli started the game for East Palestine. Carvelli allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four
Sturgeon led the Blue Devils with three hits in four at bats.
East Palestine racked up nine hits in the game. Carvelli, Patrick Bender, Darren Kemp, and Bourne all managed multiple hits.
East Palestine will look for the season sweep of Lisbon as they travel to the Blue Devils on Tuesday.
