URSULINE BATS UPEND CLIPPERS

Columbiana watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 5-0 loss to Ursuline on Saturday.

In the first inning, Ursuline got their offense started. The Irish scored one run when Brady Shannon doubled.

One bright spot for the Clippers was a single by Seth Spooner in the first inning.

Tre Ciavarella got the win for Ursuline. The fireballer lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Alex Eusebio took the loss for Columbiana. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out five.

Spooner, Bayden Pipoly, and Tyler Andersen each managed one hit to lead the Clippers.

Dante Walker led Ursuline with two hits in three at bats.
