WARRIORS CONTAIN LEOPARDS; START OFF 1-0

BROOKFIELD, OH – The 2020 high school football season finally got underway Friday night with the Liberty Leopards traveling north to Brookfield to take on the Warriors but unfortunately the game was postponed until tonight with 1:21 left in the first quarter as the Warriors were leading 7-6.

Brookfield struck first Friday night thanks to a Haden Gibson touchdown run from eight yards out. Liberty then wasted no time answering on their next possession as Chris Cunningham took the handoff 80 yards to the house before the postponement occurred.

As we got back underway tonight, the Warriors took over and controlled the entire football game on both sides ball as they proceeded to score 28 unanswered points en route to a 35-12 victory. During that run, Teandre Craig had a rushing touchdown from one yard out and Isaiah Jones had a receiving touchdown on a 30 yard back shoulder fade.

Up next for Liberty (0-1) will be another road test as they will travel to Newton Falls (0-0) to take on the Tigers next Friday night.

Up next for Brookfield (1-0) will be the first road game of the year as they will travel up to Leavittsburg to take on the Vikings of LaBrae (1-0).
