WARRIORS WIN STREAK STAYS IN TACT

CANTON OH- West Branch  was triumphant over Marlington 4-1 on Wednesday under the lights at Thurman Munson Stadium.

West Branch  got on the board in the top of the first inning after Hunter Shields doubled, and the Dukes committed an error, each scoring one run.

Anthony Perry earned the win for the Warriors. They gave up three hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking two. Sam Yoder took the loss for Marlington. They went five innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking one. Aaron Tucker collected the save.

Beau Alazaus, Shields, and Charlie Biskup each drove in one run for the Warriors. Shields led with three hits in four at bats. West Branch was clean on defense and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Shields had the most chances in the field with eight.

Garett Dillon led the  Dukes with one run batted in. He went 1-for-2 on  the day.  Tatem Hoffman made the most of their chances at the plate. The number seven hitter led the team with two hits in three at bats. Marlington also turned one double play in the game.
