WHITING’S LEAD HOLDS STRONG AGAINST BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS, OH- Ballistic  watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 6-1 loss to Whiting Roll Offs on Wednesday. Whiting took the lead on an error in the first inning, and never looked back.

Connor Davis earned the win for Whiting, as he allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out three and walking zero. Joey Pugh threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ryan Conti took the loss for Ballistic. He surrendered one run on four hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one.  Ryan ContiDom Elia, and Jason DePascale each managed one hit to lead Ballistic.

Whiting had ten hits in the game. Nick Thomas and Ben Miller all managed multiple hits for the Roll Offs. Thomas led Whiting with three hits in four at bats. Whiting was also sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Will Gubba made the most plays with six.
