WARRIORS FORCE SEASON SPLIT WITH SALEM

SALEM OH- The West Branch Lady Warriors proved why they are one of the state’s top girls programs as they traveled east and took down arch-rival Salem Lady Quakers 43-33 in Wednesday night hardwood action.

The Warrior defense came to play and limited the Quakers to just 11 points after 3 quarters played.After a close 1st period with West Branch holding a 9-6 lead, The Warriors put up 18 points in the middle two frames and Salem could only drop in 5 points.

West Branch was paced by freshman Sophie Gregory with 10 points.

For the Quakers Abbie Davidson scored 11 points.

West Branch finished up their regular season with a 18-4 record and 9-3 in the EBC. Salem’s slate now stands at 11-5 and 7-2 in the EBC with 3 games left. The EBC league title is up for grabs as the season is coming down to the wire. Next up for the Lady Warriors  is a home contest against the Chaney Cowboys Wednesday as they begin their tournament play. Salem hits the floors Thursday night as they host Alliance.
