EP FIGHTS BACK TO .500 AGAINST HEARTLAND

EAST PALESTINE, OH-  Lady Bulldog Head Coach Will Franklin knew that he would have his hands full with the early portion of the schedule this year, and felt if they could compete in their non-league games that things would fall into place later in the season.  After starting 0-2, the Lady Dogs have bounced back in a big way with wins over Campbell Memorial, and following up with a 54-28 victory over Heartland Christian on Thursday night.

Payton Sherry led the way with a near triple-double with 8 points, 8 assists and 9 rebounds for the Bulldogs on her way to the Gorby’s Player of the Game.  Joclyn Fristik led all scorers with 18, and Patience Champney added a dozen as well.

For Heartland Senior Sidney Ogden had an impressive 15 points for the Lady Lions, and Jordan Webb added 5 as well.

East Palestine (2-2) will now look to open EOAC play next Thursday against Leetonia on the road.  That game can be seen right here on YSN.
